Same day is a routing question, not a marketing claim. Call the yard before nine in the morning and tell us the address, the size and what is going in, and we can usually put a container on the ground the same day in Lakeland and the nearer parts of Polk County. Call at four in the afternoon and the honest answer is tomorrow morning, which is still fast and is better than a promise nobody can keep. What decides it is where the truck already is, what is on the bed, and whether the tip run to Winter Haven falls before or after your delivery. Geography is the other half of it, and Polk County is genuinely large — the fourth largest Florida county by land area. On a same-day call, size gets decided in about a minute, and it comes down to material. If the pile is dense — concrete, block, terrazzo, roof tile, or anything that has been rained on for a week — the answer is a 10 or a 15 loaded flat, because those loads reach a lawful payload long before the container looks full. If it is mixed household or remodel debris, the answer is nearly always a 20, which is the Lakeland default. If a whole house is going out, take the 30. If it is airy commercial or construction bulk and the site has room for a long box and a long approach, take the 40. A same-day set works when the placement is ready before the truck arrives. Clear the approach: we need roughly 60 feet of straight run to line up and back, about ten and a half feet of working width and 20 feet or more of vertical clearance for the hoist.
